With the coldest winter for at least 30 years in the UK plus the extortionate prices ALL of the electricity and gas suppliers have been overcharging Consumers, it really makes some sense to try to reduce your home energy consumption, not only to reduce your monthly outgoings (especially in the current economic climate !) but also to try to reduce CO2 emissions and subsequent 'greenhouse' gasses. Although the energy companies do themselves offer advice on reducing energy consumption, with tips on home insulation and use of low-energy lightbulbs, etc. is this just them trying to justify their high costs and giving us an image of them being considerate and 'green' ?
There are many tips around to try to reduce our energy usage, both by cost and by actual usage. A few offered here are:-
1. Turn off ALL electrical devices that are not in use - i.e. don't leave TV's, DVD players, VCR's on standby, turn them off !.
2. When purchasing new domestic appliances, ensure you buy them with the highest energy (Star) rating.
3. Replace all of your old-style light bulbs with the 'new'energy saving type of bulb (their price has dropped quite recently).
4. Correctly insulate walls, ceilings and the floors of your home - there is Government assistance in the UK with operations such as 'Warmfront', etc..
5. Turn your central heating thermostat down by a degree, plus if you are going out for a long period of time, set it to its lowest setting or consider switching it off completely while you are out of your home.

Should we go to the extremes of having solar or wind power or alternative methods of energy production ? Although this appears to be a good 'green' alternative, the actualities are somewhat different in the UK, especially the initial costs of such items. The return on investment (ROI) for the installation of solar or wind power on a typical domestic home is quite a long way off as the initial outlay is quite high, it can run into many thousands (GBP) - especially high under the economic downturn most of us are struggling with. So, what else can we do ? Well we can
ALL look to try to help ourselves with the many energy-saving tips that abound on the internet, in the media and even from the energy companies themselves, but does this go far enough ? If you are
SERIOUS about trying to reduce your energy consumption you should really look at other means and ways of using less energy in your home, but how do you do this, especially if you are a non-technical person and don't have a large excess of money to play with ?
One of the ways to efficiently reduce your electricity usage is to use a magnetic power generator, ( a
WHAT I hear you say !) which is basically a free energy generator. To try to be non-technical, it utilises magnets and magnetic force to induce perpetual motion. It runs by itself, indefinitely without stopping, hence creating free electrical energy, which can fully power your home for FREE. It runs by itself without having the need for further energy to power it. The main benefits are that you can generate completely free electric energy, it works in every home requiring only a small amount of space and you can reduce your electricity bill by half or even totally. However, isn't there a large investment for something like this ? What if I could tell you that it would take less than $100 to implement. Don't you owe it to yourself to have a GOOD look at this ?
This is
NOT science-fiction it is
FACT and more and more people are looking at implementing systems like this to rid themselves for yet another hike in energy prices, usually just in time for another 'cold' winter.
